Mango Basil Pork Chops

  • 4 Farm Promise® Pork Chops
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 mango, peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
  • ⅓ cup fresh basil, thinly sliced
  • 1 (12 oz) can chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper


  1. Heat grill.
  2. Puree mango.
  3. Heat 1 Tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, jalapeño, and basil. Heat for about a minute, or until basil just wilts.
  4. Add broth, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer as you gradually whisk in ½ cup of mango puree.
  6. Bring back to a boil, then simmer, stirring often, for 5 minutes until sauce thickens and coats your spoon.
  7. Brush pork chops lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Grill chops until cooked through, about 6 minutes on each side.
  9. Place chops on plates and top generously with sauce.
